Checkout.com Terms of Use

These Payment Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to payments made by you to New Wave Capital Limited trading as Capital on Tap (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By clicking “Pay” or otherwise proceeding with a payment, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms.

1. Payment Provider

We provide you with a payment link that redirects you to a secure, hosted payment page operated by our payment service provider, Checkout.com (or its affiliates). Checkout.com processes payments on our behalf. 

2. Payment Methods

The hosted payment page will display the payment methods available to you at the time of payment. Payment must be made using a valid debit card issued in your name.

Once your payment is successfully processed by Checkout.com and we have received confirmation of the same, we will apply your payment to any outstanding balance on your Capital on Tap credit card account. Please allow a short period for this to reflect in your Capital on Tap customer portal.

We are not responsible for any technical errors, interruptions, or downtime arising from third-party platforms, including Checkout.com, that may prevent you from attempting or completing a payment. This includes, but is not limited to, server outages, connectivity issues, maintenance periods, or other disruptions outside our control. While we shall take reasonable steps to ensure our payment links and services are available, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access and will not be liable for any delays or failures caused by any third party platforms or payment networks.

3. Security and Data Protection

Each payment link can only be used once and is valid for 15 minutes from the time it is sent via SMS. If your link expires, you can request a new one, and we may issue a replacement. A payment made using a payment link does not establish a recurring Direct Debit or Continuous Payment Authority. 

Your payment details are handled securely by Checkout.com in accordance with its privacy and security obligations. Our processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Notice

Our agents will never ask you to read out your card number, PIN, or SMS One-Time Passcode (OTP) over the phone. If you are asked to do so, terminate the call immediately and inform us.

4. Authorisation and Completion

By submitting your payment details and confirming the payment, you authorise us to collect the specified amount and agree that the card details which you used to make the relevant payment will be securely tokenized and stored by us for the purpose of processing the transaction and maintaining a record as required. Please note that using a new debit card through this payment link will not automatically save it for future use in your Capital on Tap customer portal or mobile app.

If you wish to use this new debit card for future repayments, you must log in to your Capital on Tap customer portal and save it as a payment method by making a one-time debit card repayment. Until you do so, this card will remain unavailable for you to select within the app.

5. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
