In order to participate in the Refer a Friend Programme, you need to have entered into a Revolving Credit Facility Agreement (the “Credit Agreement”) and/or an E-Money Facility Agreement (the “E-Money Agreement”) with us for the provision of a revolving credit facility ("Credit Account") and/or a preloading facility, respectively. Other Cardholders (as that term is defined under the Authorised User Terms and Conditions) are not eligible.
You must satisfy the terms of this Refer a Friend Programme and your Credit Account must be active for you to receive any bonus for making a referral (“Referral Bonus”).
Log in to your Online Portal (as that term is defined under your Credit Agreement) and if you are eligible, you should see your unique referral details in your Online Portal.
2.1. You can refer other business owners, as long as the businesses you refer:
2.1.1. are brand new Capital on Tap customers (they must not have entered into a Credit Agreement and/or an E-Money Agreement with us before); and
2.1.2. are eligible for a Capital on Tap credit card (for example, they must be business owners, based in the UK, with no CCJs against them and a minimum £24,000 annual turnover) and we approve their application for a Capital on Tap credit card (although for the avoidance of doubt, we are not required to accept any application, and any such acceptance is at our sole discretion), the “Referral”.
2.2. We will not discuss the outcome of your Referral’s application.
You cannot refer someone if your Credit Account has been suspended, cancelled or terminated; or in our sole discretion, we think that you have attempted to, or engaged in, any fraud or material abuse related to the Refer a Friend Programme.
You also agree not to engage in any activities that may, in our sole opinion, improperly generate referrals, including but not limited to creating websites or bidding on any of our branded terms, trade marks or variations thereof (including misspellings) in search engines, paid advertising platforms, or other digital marketing channels, for the purpose of promoting the Refer a Friend Programme or generating referrals. Any such activities will result in disqualification from the Refer a Friend Programme, forfeiture of any Referral Bonus paid or due to paid, and termination or suspension from participation in the Refer a Friend Programme and of your Credit Account.
4.1. You’ll have the option of receiving a Referral Bonus of:
4.1.1. 7,500 Points (as that term is defined under the Rewards Terms and Conditions); or
4.1.2. £75 if you opt to apply the Referral Bonus towards your balance on your Credit Account, for every Referral, provided that they use your unique referral link, are approved for a Capital on Tap credit card and make a transaction within 30 days of activating their card (either by spending on their card or drawing down funds). You are limited to a maximum of ten (10) Referral Bonus payouts per calendar month. Once this limit is reached, you will not be eligible to earn any further Referral Bonus for the remainder of that month. The cap is applied on a monthly basis and will reset at the start of each new calendar month. In addition to the foregoing, you may only claim up to a limit of 100 Referral Bonuses.
4.2. If we have agreed to enrol you in Rewards Pro as part of your Rewards Membership, you may be entitled to receive a higher Referral Bonus. The details of such Referral Bonus will be set out in your Online Portal.
4.3. You’ll receive your Referral Bonus within one month of your Referral making their first transaction.
4.4. The value of the Referral Bonus may be taxable income to you. You are responsible for any taxes resulting from the Referral Bonus. Please consult your tax advisor if you have questions about the tax treatment of a Referral Bonus.
You’ll receive your Referral Bonus within one month of your first transaction. This can either be a card payment or drawing down funds. If you were referred by someone enrolled in Rewards Pro under their Rewards Membership, then you will be entitled to the same Referral Bonus which they received.
6.1. We can only give a Referral Bonus if your Referral(s) sign up using your unique referral link. If they don't use your referral link, neither of you will be able to get your Referral Bonus.
6.2. If you think you are owed a Referral Bonus that has not yet been granted then please reach out to our customer support on 020 8962 7401 so that we can help.
7.1. Any violation or abuse of the Refer a Friend Programme may result in the forfeiture of the Referral Bonus and/or your termination or suspension from participation in the Refer a Friend Programme and of your Credit Account.
7.2. We may limit, cancel, or revoke Referral Bonuses if we determine, at our sole discretion, that you have violated the terms herein or of your Credit Agreement, or if we restrict or close your Credit Account pursuant to the Credit Agreement and or any other applicable agreements which you have signed up to.
7.3. If payments to your Credit Account are not kept up to date, you could also lose your Referral Bonus.
8.1. Your Credit Agreement and E-Money Agreement set out the terms of your Credit Account and govern all use of your Card, and the terms under the Refer a Friend Programme as set out here do not in any way amend, supersede, change or replace them.
8.2. Your Credit Agreement includes important terms applicable to your use of the Card (as that term is defined under your Credit Agreement) which continue to apply.
9.1. We may suspend, cancel, terminate or modify the terms of the Refer a Friend Programme and/or any Referral Bonus made through the Refer a Friend Programme at any time in our sole discretion.
9.2. You are deemed to be aware of and bound by such changes by your continued access to or participation in the Refer a Friend Programme.
9.3. We will indicate that changes have been made by updating the “Last Updated” date located above at the beginning of these terms and conditions. If you do not accept any such changes, your sole and exclusive remedy is to cease participation in the Refer a Friend Programme.
9.4. To the extent different terms to the Refer a Friend Programme are made available at a later time, you can use those specific terms if you resend your invitation and your Referral uses the new referral link you send to apply for the Card instead of the old link.
Earn bonus points on your next successful referral in your anniversary month (“Promotion”). The following terms and conditions apply to Capital on Tap customers who have received an invitation via email to earn bonus points between 1 May 2025 and 31 May 2025 (“Promotion Email”).
This Promotion is valid only in the calendar month of a customer’s anniversary following the receipt of the Promotion Email, as stated in the Promotion Email (“Promotion Period”). The expiry date of this Promotion will be communicated in the Promotion Email.
All capitalised terms used in these Promotion terms and conditions and not otherwise defined herein shall have the meanings assigned to them in the Refer a Friend Programme Terms and Conditions.
Terms & Conditions
This Promotion is available to Capital on Tap customers who received the Promotion Email.
This Promotion is only valid for the first referral within the Promotion Period.
The dates of the anniversary month and the amount of bonus points available under this Promotion will be explicitly stated in the Promotion Email.
To qualify for bonus points under this Promotion, the business referred must apply using your unique referral link within the Promotion Period, be approved for a Capital on Tap credit card and make a transaction within 30 days of activating their card (either by spending on their card or drawing down funds).
The bonus points earned under this Promotion will then be credited to your account within 60 days after the end of the Promotion Period. Your Credit Account must remain open and in good standing until such time as the bonus points are due to be paid.
Capital on Tap reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any customer found or suspected to be abusing or manipulating this Promotion or otherwise acting contrary to the spirit of the Promotion.
Capital on Tap reserves the right to amend, withdraw, or extend the Promotion or any of these terms and conditions at any time, with notice provided via email or on the Capital on Tap website.
For the avoidance of doubt, a maximum of 1% cashback will still apply to card spend that uses the customer’s available balance in their Credit Account.
By participating in this Promotion, customers are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions in addition to the Refer a Friend Programme Terms and Conditions. If these Promotion terms and conditions and the Refer a Friend Programme Terms and Conditions expressly conflict, these Promotion terms and conditions will supersede the relevant provisions in the Refer a Friend Programme Terms and Conditions Unless expressly amended herein, all provisions of the Refer a Friend Programme Terms and Conditions remain intact and in full effect. Nothing in these Promotion terms and conditions should be interpreted as invalidating any term of the Refer a Friend Programme Terms and Conditions.
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with English law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
