As working from home measures continue to grow in popularity across London amongst the coronavirus pandemic, it’s difficult to imagine what the capital’s busy office spaces will look like in the future. A new study released by the Office for National Statistics revealed that 57.2% of employees in London have worked from home during April to June in 2020, and with thousands of businesses implementing permanent remote working policies, this figure is only set to increase.
For thousands of Londoners, the benefits of working remotely are clear, but what about those who work more productively within an office environment?
In this study, Capital on Tap has revealed the best London boroughs to set up a remote working office to save money on the hefty expenses of the usually spacious office space, as well as office locations that offer safe spaces for employees to reconnect.
The study takes into account a variety of factors including the cost of office space, the distance from London borough to the closest tube station, the average number of employees as well as other factors such as the number of bars and parks.

Sources and Methodology
To calculate the best London boroughs to set up a remote working office, Capital on Tap analysed seven cost and lifestyle factors to produce an overall rank. For factors such as cost, a number of employees, walking distance to the closest tube station and average commuting time, the lower the result, the better rank. For the number of green parks and bars, the higher the result, the better the rank. These ranks were then averaged out to create the final order of boroughs.
