Frequently asked questions

A cashback business credit card gives you money back every time you spend. You earn a percentage of what you spend — returned to you as a reward. With the Capital on Tap card, you earn 1% back on everything. Spend £1,000 on office supplies and you'll earn £10 in points. You can redeem those points for cashback, gift cards, or convert them to Avios or Virgin Points.

A business cashback credit card gives you a percentage of your spending back as a reward. With the Capital on Tap Business Credit Card, you earn 1 point for every £1 you spend. 1,000 points equals £10. You can redeem those points for cashback, travel rewards, or gift cards.

Whether cashback is taxable depends on how your business is set up. HMRC provides guidance, but the rules vary by business type. We recommend speaking to an accountant to understand your specific situation. They can review the latest regulations and advise you on your tax responsibilities.

Many cashback cards charge annual fees or foreign transaction fees that reduce your rewards. Some also have interest charges, late fees, or costs for employee cards. The Capital on Tap Business Credit Card has no annual fee unless you upgrade to Pro for £299 per year. The free 1% cashback card has no annual fee at all. It also doesn't charge foreign transaction fees or for employee cards.

Look for three things: the cashback rate, any annual fees, and whether there are limits on what you can earn. The Capital on Tap Business Credit Card offers 1% cashback on everything, with no annual fee and no earning cap.

With the Capital on Tap Business Credit Card, your points are available as soon as a purchase clears. You can redeem them against your balance, convert to Avios or Virgin Points, choose a gift card, or transfer as cash to your bank account.
