Learn how the Refer a Friend programme works, and how to earn your Referral Bonus.
Overview
You can invite a friend who owns a small business to join Capital on Tap using the Refer a Friend programme. When your friend is approved for a Capital on Tap Business Credit Card and makes a qualifying transaction, you'll both earn a Referral Bonus worth 7,500 points or £75. This article explains how the programme works, how many friends you can refer, and when your bonus is credited.
How does the Refer a Friend programme work?
-
Log in to your account and go to 'Rewards'.
-
Select 'Refer and Earn' to find your unique referral link.
-
Share this link with a friend who owns a small business.
You'll both earn a Referral Bonus once your friend:
-
Is approved for a Capital on Tap Business Credit Card.
-
Makes a transaction within 30 days of activating their card.
You can choose to receive your Referral Bonus as 7,500 points, or as £75 applied to your Credit account balance.
How many referrals can I make?
Under the promotional terms, you can refer up to:
-
10 friends per calendar month
-
100 friends in total
When will I receive my Referral Bonus?
You'll receive your Referral Bonus within one month of your friend making their first transaction.
What if my friend doesn't use my referral link?
We can only pay a Referral Bonus if your friend's application uses your unique referral link. If they don't use it, we may not be able to link their application to your referral. If you think you're owed a Referral Bonus, contact our Customer Service team on 020 8962 7401.
Will I still earn my Referral Bonus if an account is declined, suspended, or terminated?
No. If either your account or your friend's account is declined, suspended, or terminated, you will not receive the Referral Bonus.
Can I use the Refer a Friend programme for a second business that I own?
Yes, you can use the programme for a second business if you're a director or shareholder of that business too.
Note: See the Refer a Friend programme terms for full eligibility criteria.
